Our top pick for the best face yoga app is Gluvy: every exercise is a follow-along video with a countdown timer, and face yoga, about 34 gua sha courses, skincare lessons and relaxation sessions sit in one iPhone app for $49.99 a year. We make Gluvy, so read this with that in mind. Below are our criteria, a dated comparison table, an entry for each app, and a short note on the other options, including Luvly, FaceYogi, Face Yoga Method, Koko Face Yoga and Mimika.
Who wrote this, and how we compared
This comparison was written by the Gluvy team, and Gluvy is our top pick. We’re open about that: every app gets the same criteria, every competitor fact links to its source, and the Gluvy entry lists our real limits, so you can check our reasoning.
We did not run a hands-on test of the competing apps. The comparison is based on each app’s public App Store listing and website as of October 2026, plus Gluvy’s own product information. That means we can tell you what each app says it offers, not how well each one works for you. Prices, features and ratings change often, so treat every number here as a snapshot and check the current listing before you subscribe.
We compared the apps on:
- Guidance format. Video, animation or text, and whether each step is timed.
- Programs. Structured multi-day plans versus a library you pick from.
- Gua sha and facial massage. Whether massage or gua sha routines are part of the app.
- Skincare content. Lessons or guides beyond the exercises themselves.
- Relaxation. Breathing or wind-down sessions.
- Live classes and teachers. Whether you can learn from a named instructor in real time.
- Platforms. iPhone, Android or web.
- Price and cancellation. What the listing shows, and how you cancel.
- Honesty about evidence. Whether the app’s promises match what research on face yoga actually supports.
We left out star ratings on purpose. They move every week, and a rating copied into an article goes stale fast. Check the store listing for the current one.

Face yoga apps comparison table
Data as of October 2026, taken from each app’s US App Store listing (linked in the app entries below) and, for Gluvy, from our pricing page. “Not stated” means we couldn’t confirm it from the listing; it doesn’t mean the feature is missing.
| App | Guidance (as listed) | Gua sha / massage | Skincare content | Relaxation | Live classes | Platforms confirmed | Price shown (US) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gluvy (top pick) | Follow-along video for every exercise, timer on every step, 3-week plans | Yes, about 34 video courses | Yes, skincare lessons and article courses | Yes, breathing, body scan, sleep and stress relief | No | iPhone only | Free download; Pro $49.99/year or $7.99/week |
| Luvly | Personalised face yoga programs | Yes, massage routines | Yes, skincare content | Not stated | Not stated | iPhone (check Google Play for Android) | Free download with in-app purchases; check listing |
| FaceYogi | Personalised 7-day program | Massage named in the app title | Not stated | Not stated | Not stated | iPhone (check Google Play for Android) | $9.99/week or $49.99/quarter |
| Face Yoga Method | Targeted programs from a named teacher | Not stated | Not stated | Not stated | Yes | iPhone (check Google Play for Android) | Free download with in-app purchases; check listing |
| Koko Face Yoga | Daily face yoga course from a named teacher | Yes, face massage techniques | Not stated | Not stated | Not stated | iPhone (check Google Play for Android) | $9.99/month or $99.99/year |
| Mimika | Video demonstration for every exercise, personalised program | Yes, facial massage | Not stated | Not stated | Not stated | iPhone (check Google Play for Android) | Free download with in-app purchases; check listing |
What stands out is the combination. Gluvy is the only app in this table where we could confirm timed follow-along video, a dedicated gua sha video library, skincare lessons and relaxation sessions in one place. On price, Gluvy’s $49.99 a year is half of Koko’s listed $99.99 a year, and FaceYogi’s $49.99 a quarter works out to about $200 over a year. To be clear on limits: Gluvy is iPhone only and has no live classes.
The apps, one by one
Each entry covers who the app suits, what stands out in its listing, and price as of October 2026. Gluvy comes first as our top pick.
1. Gluvy (our top pick, made by us)
Best for: anyone on iPhone who wants to be guided through every move, rather than guess, and who’d like face yoga, gua sha, skincare and relaxation in one place.
What stands out:
- Follow-along video for every exercise. 200+ (229) guided face yoga video exercises across 8 face areas: forehead, eyes, nose, lips and mouth, cheeks, chin and jawline, neck and full face. Each one is a follow-along video workout with a countdown timer on every step, so you always know what to do and how long to hold.
- Plans that fit a busy day. 3-week plans built around 5–10 minutes a day, with morning and night routines and reminders to keep you coming back.
- A dedicated gua sha library. About 34 gua sha and facial-massage video courses, shown step by step.
- More than exercises. Skincare lessons and article courses, plus guided breathing, body scan, sleep and stress-relief sessions for winding down.
- Track your own progress. A progress journal with selfies, and an AI face analysis that gives you a starting point and suggests focus areas. It’s not a diagnosis.
- Simple billing. One App Store subscription, cancelled in iPhone Settings like any other.
Good to know: Gluvy is iPhone only, with no Android or web version. It’s free to download, and the full library is part of Gluvy Pro. Everything is pre-recorded, so there are no live classes.
Price (US, as of October 2026, from our pricing page): Gluvy Pro is $49.99 a year or $7.99 a week. New users may see a one-time yearly offer of $39.99 in the app. You cancel in iPhone Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. Ready to try it? Download Gluvy for iPhone.
2. Luvly
Best for: people who want face yoga as part of a broader beauty and wellness app.
What’s in the listing: As of October 2026, the Luvly App Store listing describes personalised face yoga programs with exercises and massages for areas such as the jawline and cheeks, plus skincare content, meal plans, a progress journal and a cosmetic scanner that checks product ingredients. If you’re already a Luvly user and thinking of switching, our Luvly alternatives guide explains how to cancel cleanly, and Gluvy vs Luvly compares the two side by side.
Good to know: We couldn’t confirm Android availability from an official Google Play page, so check the Play Store if you’re on Android.
Price: The listing shows the app as free to download with in-app purchases. Check the current App Store listing for subscription prices in your region.
3. FaceYogi
Best for: people who want a short personalised program to get started.
What’s in the listing: As of October 2026, the FaceYogi App Store listing describes a personalised 7-day program tailored to your skin, and the app’s name puts face yoga and massage side by side.
Good to know: Weekly and quarterly pricing adds up if you plan to practise for months. At the listed $49.99 a quarter, a year costs about four times Gluvy’s $49.99 yearly plan. We couldn’t confirm a Google Play version from the same developer.
Price: The US listing shows $9.99 a week or $49.99 a quarter as of October 2026. Prices differ by country. For a head-to-head, see Gluvy vs FaceYogi.
4. Face Yoga Method app
Best for: people who specifically want scheduled live classes.
What’s in the listing: As of October 2026, the Face Yoga Method App Store listing offers targeted programs, live classes and a membership option, guided by Fumiko Takatsu, the teacher behind the Face Yoga Method. Our Gluvy vs Face Yoga Method comparison goes into more detail.
Good to know: Live classes run on a schedule, which may or may not suit your time zone and routine. Like many listings in this category, it describes appearance changes; read those as marketing, not evidence (see what the research says below). We couldn’t confirm an Android version from the search results.
Price: The listing shows the app as free to download with in-app purchases and auto-renewing subscriptions. Check the listing or the in-app store screen for current prices.
5. Koko Face Yoga
Best for: people who want to follow one teacher’s daily course.
What’s in the listing: As of October 2026, the Koko Face Yoga App Store listing describes a daily face yoga course led by teacher Koko Hayashi, face massage techniques and lessons on tongue posture.
Good to know: We found no mention of live classes in the listing. The yearly plan shown, $99.99, is twice Gluvy’s $49.99 a year.
Price: The listing says the app is free to try and shows a monthly subscription of $9.99 and a yearly subscription of $99.99, as of October 2026. If you’re weighing other options, see our Koko Face Yoga alternatives.
6. Mimika
Best for: people who want a simple, video-led exercise app.
What’s in the listing: As of October 2026, the Mimika App Store listing says every exercise comes with a video demonstration and that the app suggests programs based on your answers and skin type. It covers facial exercises and facial massage.
Good to know: Like several apps in this category, the listing names specific appearance concerns it targets. Treat those as marketing rather than evidence. We couldn’t confirm an Android version from the search results.
Price: Free to download with in-app purchases. Check the current App Store listing for subscription prices.
Free face yoga options
You can start face yoga without paying anything. Every app in this list, Gluvy included, is free to download, but the full programs usually need a subscription, and what’s included for free changes often. Open the in-app store screen before you sign up so you know what’s free and what isn’t. Our guide to free face yoga apps breaks down what each app actually gives you for free.
Outside the apps, you have a few good free options:
- Learn a short routine from an article. Our 5-minute face yoga routine for beginners walks you through eight moves with timings, no app needed.
- Pick one area to focus on. Guides like our jawline exercises explain each move and what it can realistically do. You’ll find more in our face exercises guides.
- Try gua sha with a stone you already own. Our step-by-step gua sha routine covers the angle, pressure and order. More in the gua sha guides.
- YouTube. Plenty of teachers share free face yoga videos. The trade-off is structure: you have to build your own plan, time your own holds and remember to come back.
What a paid app like Gluvy adds is structure: a plan that tells you what to do today, a timer on every step, reminders and a journal to see your progress. If you’re consistent without those, free content may be all you need.
How to choose the right face yoga app
The right app is the one you’ll actually open five days a week. Start from your situation:
- You struggle with consistency. Look for short sessions, a timer on every step, reminders and a multi-week plan. That’s exactly what Gluvy is built around: 3-week plans of 5–10 minutes a day, with morning and night routines.
- You want massage and gua sha too. If gua sha is a big part of your routine, look for dedicated gua sha video courses rather than a few massage moves. Gluvy has about 34 gua sha and facial-massage video courses.
- You want more than face yoga. Gluvy adds skincare lessons and article courses, plus breathing, body scan, sleep and stress-relief sessions, so your face routine and wind-down live in one app.
- You’re on a budget. Compare yearly prices rather than weekly ones. A weekly plan is easy to start but costs much more over a year. Gluvy’s $49.99 a year is lower than Koko’s listed $99.99 a year and FaceYogi’s $49.99 a quarter.
- You’re a beginner. Pick an app that shows every move on video and times each hold. Every Gluvy exercise works this way.
When another app might suit you: if you use Android, Gluvy isn’t available, so check Google Play for the others. If you specifically want scheduled live classes, Face Yoga Method’s listing offers them. Luvly’s listing also covers meal plans and an ingredient scanner, which Gluvy doesn’t include.
One more filter: be cautious of any app that promises a guaranteed or timed change to your face. That’s a sign the marketing is ahead of the evidence.
What any face yoga app can and cannot do
An app can teach you the moves and keep you consistent, but it can’t make face yoga do more than the research supports. And that research is limited.
The study most often cited is a small pilot published in JAMA Dermatology in 2018 by researchers at Northwestern University (Alam et al., 2018):
- Who: 27 women aged 40 to 65 enrolled; 16 completed the program.
- What: 30 minutes of facial exercises a day for 8 weeks, then every other day until week 20.
- Result: dermatologists rating standardised photos saw improved upper and lower cheek fullness, and the participants’ average estimated age dropped from about 50.8 to 48.1 years.
That’s an interesting signal, but it’s one small study with no control group, and the participants practised far longer each day than most apps ask of you. Larger controlled studies are needed before anyone can say what face yoga reliably does. Our article on whether face yoga works goes through the research in detail.
So what can you reasonably expect from an app?
- Better form. Video and mirror cues help you work the right muscles without scrunching others.
- A steady habit. Plans, timers and reminders make a few minutes a day easier to keep.
- Relaxation. Many people find face yoga, massage and gua sha calming in themselves.
What no app can honestly promise: removed wrinkles, a “lifted” face by a set date, fat loss from one part of the face (spot reduction isn’t supported by evidence), or results that match cosmetic treatments. If you have jaw (TMJ) problems, a neck condition, recent facial surgery or injections, or an active skin condition, check with a doctor before you start, and stop any move that hurts.
Try face yoga with Gluvy
If you’re on iPhone, Gluvy is our top recommendation. Every exercise is a follow-along video with a countdown timer, the 3-week plans take 5–10 minutes a day, and about 34 gua sha courses, skincare lessons and relaxation sessions come in the same app, for $49.99 a year. See all of Gluvy’s features or download Gluvy for iPhone.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best face yoga app?
Our top recommendation is Gluvy if you're on iPhone: follow-along video with a countdown timer on every step, 200+ guided exercises, about 34 gua sha and facial-massage courses, skincare lessons and relaxation sessions in one app, for $49.99 a year. We make Gluvy, so weigh that. Gluvy is iPhone only, so on Android check Google Play for the other apps, and Face Yoga Method is the app in this list whose listing offers live classes.
Are there free face yoga apps?
Most face yoga apps, Gluvy included, are free to download, but the full programs usually sit behind a subscription. Free tiers and trial content vary and change often, so check what the current store listing says is included. Free YouTube videos and simple routines you can learn from articles are another way to start without paying.
Do face yoga apps work?
An app can't do more than the exercises themselves, and research on face yoga is limited to small studies. What a good app does well is guide your form and keep you consistent with timers, plans and reminders. Be wary of any app that promises guaranteed or fast visible results.
Which face yoga app is best for beginners?
Beginners usually do best with an app that shows every move on video and times each step, so you don't have to guess how long to hold. That is exactly how Gluvy is built: every exercise is a follow-along video with a countdown timer, inside 3-week plans of 5–10 minutes a day. Mimika and Koko Face Yoga also describe video-based guidance in their listings. Whichever you choose, start with short daily sessions and light pressure.
Can I cancel a face yoga app subscription easily?
If you subscribed through the App Store, as with Gluvy, you can cancel on your iPhone in Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. If you paid on an app's website instead, you need to cancel through that website or the account you created there.
Practise this with Gluvy. Follow-along videos with a timer for every step. See everything in the Gluvy app.
